Covid-safe

Good To Go England GreenWe have opened up our building for Sunday services and have started opening more of our midweek groups and activities.  Every meeting and activity that we restart is carefully considered against the latest government guidance and we do a thorough risk assessment to consider whether we can run it in a covid-secure way.  All the activities happening in the building are permitted by the latest guidance, and are considered to be important activities for the spiritual, physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of our members and community.  We have the joy of owning a covid-secure building that God has given us to use in our mission to worship Him and serve each other.  In this time when many people particularly need help, we are seeking to run groups and activities which meet those needs.

We have put precautions in place to ensure we are meeting together in a safe environment:

  • Hand sanitiser will be provided on entry
  • Face masks will need to be worn during our Sunday services and in certain groups, unless you are exempt
  • We are providing tea and coffee at our Sunday morning services which are served to people by our hospitality team. However no biscuits will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
  • Cleaning before and after each service, wiping down touch points
  • Please use the toilets at home if possible, but they will be available for emergency use
  • Services will be ticketed due to limited capacity (tickets will be available on our website and via MyChurchSuite)
  • We have installed a UV filter on our air circulation system, which kills viruses including covid
  • There are cleaning stations in each meeting room, with antibac wipes for you to wipe down any surfaces which have been touched.
  • Please do not come to the church building if you have any covid symptoms or have been instructed to self-isolate.  We will ask everyone who comes to meetings or services in the building to give us their details for Test and Trace.  This information will only be used for Test and Trace purposes.

The risk of transmission via chair upholstery is very low and therefore we will not be changing or disinfecting our chair cushions between services.  We will disinfect the metal handles.  However if you feel uncomfortable about this please feel free to bring a chair-cover with you.
