‘’...whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” - Mark 10:43-45.
At St Barnabas, serving is one of our 'Markers of membership' so we encourage all our members to commit to serving in a ministry of St Barnabas. There is a great variety of ministries here so the hope is that all people find an area to serve in which they feel fulfilled, valued and most of all have fun!
Serving at our Sunday services
We are now meeting back in the church building and have relaunched our Sunday services back to our pre-covid schedule. As such, we are looking for new team members for our Sundays Ministries.
You can be the first smile that people see when they come to the church’s car park by being part of the Parking team, greet people at the doors and making them feel welcome as part of the Connect team, or take good care of people with teas and coffee in the Hospitality team. Help with the screens, sound or cameras in the Tech and Creative team or praying for people by being part of the Prayer ministry team.
At St Barnabas, there is a place for everybody’s gifts and talents and we would love to have you in our teams. Click HERE to find out more and to sign up!

Serving our community
We excited to have started a foodbank over lockdown, and have been finding that the need is great. We would love more people serving through donating food, publicising and getting together with their neighbours and streets to gather donations. We also need people to come to the building on Monday afternoons to help restock.
The Foodbank is open for donations on Fridays at 12noon-3pm
For more information email Helen at email@example.com or call 07872 697623
