The Homeless Outreach Hub group seeks to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of some of the most vulnerable men and women within our local community.
We have been providing lunch every Sunday for the past four years. This has grown in popularity and we now regularly have up to 60 guests each week. To make this possible, we have four teams of people, consisting of: cooks, servers and those who sit and chat to the guests, building relationships. As a result of this, we have been able to run our own Alpha Course and reading and writing classes.
We also support those who have been newly-housed by supplying them with specific household items as well as offering pastoral support, if required.
We work in partnership with other local churches and synagogues as part of Together in Barnet, to open our doors to the homeless for one night per week during the winter months providing our guests with an evening meal, overnight accommodation and breakfast.
We meet once a term so that we can gather to worship, study the Bible and pray for our community and for each other. We also encourage members to be a part of one of our 2to4 groups which meet together in-between the main meetings.
Our next termly meeting is:
Wednesday 21 February 7pm Pierce Hall
