Giving this christmas

This Christmas, St Barnabas Church is supporting many local projects that have a great impact on the community at Christmas. Find out more on each of the projects below:

Christmas Lunch on Jesus

What: An opportunity to give 'A Christmas lunch on Jesus' for those unable to afford it otherwise. £25 buys a hamper full of goodies and Christmas essentials to make that day extra special. A few days before Christmas, a team brave the elements and go off delivering all the hampers on Strawberry Vale Estate. You can help delivering too here as 'Strawberry Vale Team'.

How Much: £25 buys one large hamper but you can give anything to contribute towards one or many

FIN Fund

What: This is St Barnabas' 'Friends In Need' in-house scheme that identifies members of the church who are in need. We have an offering where people can give to this fund and then it is portioned out to those with need. It can make such a difference to people's situations and you can read some previous thank you letters here

How Much
: Whatever you like

Angel Tree Project

What: This project is for giving gifts to the families of prisoners. At a difficult time of year for many families in this situation, it can make a huge impact to receive a gift from an absent parent, wrapped and with a personal message. The project links those prisoners who want to give their families a gift to those able to buy it for them.

How Much: Presents are bought specifically for the family member nominated, usually around £10-£20

For the Angel Tree project, you can give via the Prison Ministry using this link, please make sure you add "Angel Tree 038" for the funds to be earmarked.

During all our Christmas services, we take an offering for 2 selected charities. All the money from all the Christmas services goes straight to the charities so they can carry on their fantastic work. More details on this will follow soon.

How do I give?

You can give to as many of these projects as you wish. The easiest way would be to come along on a Sunday, fill in a gift aid envelope (if you are a UK tax payer), write which project you are donating to on it and give it to anyone wearing a badge.

Alternatively you can fill in the form below and someone will be in touch soon to help you:
