WORLD MISSION SUPPORT
World Mission Support (WMS) inspires, equips and resources St Bs members in sharing the good news of Jesus in our local multicultural North London context, and in other parts of the UK and world.

Locally, we put on training to resource St Bs members in connecting and sharing the gospel across different cultures and faith groups, as well as encourage prayer for unreached people groups both locally and globally.
For many years St Barnabas has sent and supported a number of its members to serve God overseas and elsewhere in the UK, both in the short and long term. WMS is the body within St Bs charged with providing care and support before, during and after members’ time serving as mission partners.

WHO IS WMS?
The WMS community is made up of St Bs members who are passionate about God’s mission, based both locally and globally as Mission Partners or Associates.

​Currently, we support a number of people in long and short-term mission in other parts of the UK and the World– 17 long-term Mission Partners / Associates and 3 Short-Term Partners, one of these who is exploring long-term options.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
WMS holds prayer meetings, training, events and gatherings over zoom and in-person, as well as sends out a weekly email with prayer updates and information about all that is going on, including related events and resources.

FEELING CALLED TO MISSION OVERSEAS OR IN OTHER PARTS OF THE UK IN THE LONG-TERM?
We are always keen to hear about church members who are considering this​!

INTERESTED IN GOING ON A SHORT-TERM TRIP?
WMS support individuals or teams on short-term trips to other parts of the UK or World. This includes sending teams from St Bs to visit our Mission Partners and support in their ministries.

A short-term trip can be anything from a weekend to two years! You can go on short term mission at any age: everyone has something to offer - you just need to be ready and willing to go and serve.
​
Going on a short-term trip can:

Grow and challenge you!

Develop your relationship with God in new ways

Enable you to see God at work in another part of the world

Encourage you to step out of your comfort zone

Help you explore a calling to mission overseas in the long-term

Be great fun!
​World Mission Support supports those going on short-term trips through providing information about possible opportunities and meeting with you before and after you go to help prepare for and process your trip.
